My research explores how animals interact with each other and their environments, and how these insights can improve conservation. I work across rewilding and species reintroductions, sensory ecology, predator–prey interactions, scavenging ecology and wildlife management.

RESEARCH THEMES

Rewilding & reintroductions - restoring native species to landscapes and improving the success of establishment efforts.

Sensory conservation - harnessing scent, behaviour and animal decision-making as tools for conservation.

Scavenging & mass mortality - investigating ecosystem responses to large pulses of carrion and their ecological consequences.

Wildlife coexistence - developing strategies that enable native wildlife, including predators, and people to coexist in working landscapes.
